The Creekside Cabin, located in Calistoga, CA, is a remarkable reinterpretation of a 1920’s cabin by the very talented Amy A. Alpers. If you look carefully at the image below, you can see that the original cabin is still intact, serving at the kitchen, anchoring this beautiful retreat. Amy essentially built a new double-height living room around the original structure, creating a new viewing experience with large windows. The open ceilings supported by reclaimed crossbeams adds to the rustic charm of the cabin. What a great way to preserve the past while celebrating the serenity of this tranquil setting.
