ClimatePro looks forward to growth and new opportunities with the investment of its new Canon Océ Arizona flatbed UV printer.
The Oce UV printer gives the company the capability of printing decorative window films at rapid speed. The print dries almost instantly using full-color and includes the option to use white ink. In addition to the white ink, the Oce UV printer can provide a unique printing process to provide textured graphics if desired.
The reason why the company chooses the Océ UV printer instead of a dedicated roll-to-roll machine was to expand into other decorative opportunities in their local market. The flatbed option allows the company to print on flat rigid media such as wood, metal, and acrylic. Rigid media in sizes up to 4 feet by 8 feet and 2 inches thick can be printed directly to the surface on the flatbed.
CEO Jeremy Dobbins said: “We wanted to make in investment into the UV print technology but wanted to have the most options available when it came to our printing capabilities. We didn’t want just to limit ourselves to window films.
There are many great machines out there to choose from, but we wanted the dedicated flatbed on our machine as our first UV printer.”
The company has several other printing technologies and finishing equipment on hand, but the Canon printer is their first UV ink machine.
Dobbins added: “Our primary focus is decorative window film including frost and optically clear. It always has been and always will be. I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished as a company, and I look forward to the new and exciting opportunities that this machine brings.”
The company has had the printer installed since January 2016 but only recently started marketing and offering it’s services to customers, including wholesale.
Dobbins said: “ When venturing into new territory we wanted to make sure that we got everything perfect before we started sending product out the door. We have a vast amount of experience with digital printing prior, but with a new machine comes new things to learn. We wanted to make sure we had all the hiccups ironed out.”
In addition, ClimatePro will also be launching a secondary brand VisualPro. This company’s focus will be display graphics including window graphics. VisualPro will offer a line of custom decorative window films that will be sold wholesale to other window film dealers. Dobbins said: “We will have a full line of products to offer to other dealers including printed frost films, optically clear film, perforated films and standard vinyl.”
In addition to their wholesale service they will also have staff on hand to help with design and post-production. Dobbins said: “We understand decorative film projects can be challenging. We want to provide as much help and guidance to make sure our customers’ projects are successful, otherwise they’re just not going to want to deal with them.
Overall, once printed the installation process is really painless and we feel most dealers will welcome our solution to their product line.”

About the Canon Printer:
The Océ Arizona Series flatbed printers feature sign printing equipment ideal for creating large format outdoor point-of-purchase signage and banners, second surface backlit displays, exhibit displays, architectural and directional signage, event signage and more. The integrated vacuum table holds media stationary while printing, eliminating the need for cumbersome jigs and extra setup time. These flatbed printers provide full-bleed printing capability that eliminates the extra finishing steps of trimming prints.
All Océ Arizona UV flatbed printers are all based on an Océ-developed platform that, on the majority of models, combines a true flatbed printer design and an optional separate, dedicated roll-to-roll capability.
